Batteries come with different terminal types. Internal Thread (IT) or screw terminals offer the lowest profile and are ideal when space is limited. Nut and Bolt (NB), post, or L-type terminals sit higher and require a nut and bolt connection. If your current battery uses a nut-and-bolt terminal, you can usually switch to an Internal Thread (IT) terminal, which provides a lower profile.
